our mission

The purpose of the Tripoli Foundation is to provide support to aspiring students in the form of grants. Reflecting on the memory of Charles Tripoli and the work that he performed in his life, the Foundation focuses on those areas that brought him particular joy and satisfaction, but almost any course of study can be supported except as noted below. Dr. Tripoli was well known for his medical skills and selfless service in the community as a primary care family practitioner. He also loved the arts — particularly music — and he was very proud of his service in the United States Navy as a medical officer. He and Rita Tripoli loved family, Italian culture, good food, and most importantly selfless charity to those who are underprivileged and in need. Dr. Tripoli mastered the Spanish language late in life in order to be able to work in a medical mission in Honduras. He was also fluent in Italian, Sicilian, and had studied Latin and German.
